If you’ve visited or tried to log onto any HPCareer.Net, llc affiliate sites lately, you might have been interrupted by the fact you need to enter a more secure password. You might have even found it frustrating to not be able to use your generic password that you’ve been using for several different sites.
We understand the frustration, but there is a very good reason. In case you don’t know or realize, there is a war going on. The war is between website administrators and spammers as well as hackers. It is an ever increasing problem. eCommerce sites and sites that collect loads of data from it’s users, have to be more diligent at protecting that data and the user.
Therefore, we have begun to implement high security levels on our sites. One of those steps – which is a highly important one – is to make sure that users are using a strong/secure password. In doing so, it makes it harder to remember these strong passwords that look like gobbledygook. But did you know there are software and apps that can help with that?
Lifehacker has an article on their website entitled, “Five Best Password Managers.” These are apps you can install on your computer and some via your browser which will store your passwords so that you don’t have to try and remember them. Click on the link above to visit their website.
Please note, that out of the five, I do not recommend Keepass for those who have a newer Mac because it doesn’t respond.
