Nicole Champagne has been on the faculty at UMass Lowell for 18 years, She is currently an Associate Professor and Chair of the Department of Community Health and Sustainability. Her doctorate was earned at Columbia University in the Health and Behavior Studies Department. Nicole’s research is conducted through the Center for the Promotion of Health in the New England Workplace, a NIOSH funded Center of Excellence associated with the Total Worker Health Initiative of the agency. Specifically, she is an investigator for the HealthyandSafe@Work Project. This is an education and dissemination project that has been responsible for the development of curriculum modules and training sessions related to the integration of workplace health promotion and occupational health and the relationship between work-related stress and the development of heart disease and stroke.
