Captain Tina Lankford
Tina is a Captain in the US Public Health Service. She transferred to the PHS in 1998 to the CDC in the Office of Health and Safety and also worked in the National Center for Chronic Disease Prevention and Health Promotion. Since May 2013, Tina helped stand up and currently directs CDC’s new WorkLife Wellness Office which exist to provide “in-house” wellness support for agency staff. The WorkLife Wellness Office has oversight of Food services (cafeterias, cafes, and vending), Employee Assistance Programs, Fitness centers, and leads agency-wide health education and promotion campaigns and environmental supports through social networks, the built environment, and a wellness liaison network across the agency.
