The Power of Local Stories: A Kentucky Community Guide To Help Spread Health Initiatives that Work with Elaine Russell MS RD LD
The release of a publication, “Shaping Kentucky’s Future A Community Guide to Reducing Obesity” generated media attention from all over the state. The report featured stories of sustainable changes made by Kentucky communities using health initiatives to make physical activity and healthy eating easier and more accessible. A worksite wellness story in a rural community shares their story “A Culture of Health” and how a county government has healthier employees and saves tax dollars. Mow It and They Will Come, We Can’t Get There From Here, and Eat Your Vegetables are just a few of the other stories told.
